Overall Responsibilities:

Provide legal support to key strategic projects for Ford in China and APA e.g. legal due diligence, negotiation, document drafting, review and translation, project management for legal team;
Interface and coordinate with project team on meetings, reviews and document preparation;
IT support;
Draft, translate and proofread legal documents in both Chinese and English;
Co-ordinate with government authorities for compliance with relevant foreign investment, customs and taxation laws and regulations under supervision of the Senior Legal Counsel;
Liaise with corporate and regional legal function in handling legal matters as assigned by Senior Legal Counsel including, but without limitation, transactions with Ford JVs in China;
New regulation research, monitoring and analysis with presentation drafting; and
Support the Senior Legal Counsel in various corporate compliance and training programs.

Qualification Requirements:

Undergraduate from reputable PRC law school is a must, Master of Law preferred;
2 to 3 years proven legal professional experience in a reputable law firm or multinational company;
Passage of the Judicial Exam in the PRC;
Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and Chinese, capable of drafting legal documents in both languages;
Experience in handling M&A or IPO projects would be a plus;
Well-organized and be able to work on own under pressure and within tight deadlines;
Quick learner and good analytical skills;
Demonstrated initiative with integrity, teamwork orientation, and high intelligence level; and
Good problem solving skills in helping clients in achieving their business objectives within applicable constraints.
