Responsibilities

Technical



· Oversees all technical operations of the Wodehouse, Alleyn, BlackBox and other event venues

· Manages and maintains the Wodehouse & Alleyn theatre audio-visual and lighting system

· Manages and maintains the audio-visual systems for all venues and classrooms

· Provides, personally or through staffing, audio, video and sound support for concerts, plays, speeches and assemblies

· Coordinates technicians weekly tests of theatre equipment

· Cooperates with DCP/Marketing on maximizing theatre usage outside of school times (commercial use)

· Coordinates technical requirements for academic and non-academic theatre bookings

· Oversees preventative maintenance of all sound/technical equipment throughout school

· Cooperates with Music and Drama for their class or event technical needs



Administrative



· Manages the technical requirements for events in each venue (Blackbox, Theatres, Fields, Domes)

· Manages hardware inventory for all DCB audio-visual equipment

· Manages bookings (technical requirements)

· Manages cleanup of events in theatres (ayi, operations, ICT)

· Manages theatre and audio-visual technicians

· Works with ICT Manager to prepare budget for theatre and AV equipment

· Maintains spare parts and bulbs for AV equipment

· Communicates with teachers, students and artists to provide accurate event systems checklist

· Cooperates with Music and Drama departments to keep audio, video, lighting and other theatre equipment functioning.





Capabilities

· Experience working a school environment

· Experience working in a multi-function theatre

· Experience working with theatrical artists

· Strong organizational skills

· Positive attitude

· Ability to work effectively with teachers, parents and students?

· Strong ability to organize and analyse complex tasks in a systematic manner??

· Ability to learn new AV systems and develop appropriate procedures independently??

· Ability to self-educate when formal instruction is not available

· Ability to manage and coordinate staff

· Strong communication skills in English and Chinese?

Technical

· Minimum 2 years’ experience with sound mixing systems

· Minimum 2 years’ experience with theatre lighting systems

· Minimum 2 years’ experience with video systems such as Tricaster

· Minimum 2 years’ experience providing AV support to Drama or Music performances

· Minimum 2 years’ experience providing AV support to outdoor events

· Experience with video creation software such as using iMovie

· Basic productivity software experience
