职位描述
MISSIONS:
-Build up the product range in line
--with the market in terms of positioning (price, volume, segmentation)
--with the current and future expectations of customers
--with the objectives of the Group and the Brands
-Ensure to take into account the behaviors and expectations of customers and the other specificities of the Chinese market for all vehicles sales projects in China, local production or import.
-Propose a dynamic product strategy in line with the Group guidelines.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
As part of his monitoring of the vehicle manufacturing projects in China, (upstream engagement), he/she is particularly responsible for:-
-Tracing back to customers needs related to specific Brands and models (powertrain, equipment, services) in China
-Performing the Chinese specific deliverable Product and / or specific part under the World deliverables programs (style briefs, CCA notes describing the markets and the posssible concepts for a new project).
-Communicating information needed with the client’s JV partner to validate the product plans during Board meetings.
Play important roles as customer representative and coordinator between product teams (PDTM and BD&S), in various vehicle development phases. Consequently he/she:-
-Will implement all deliverable products – using the notes describing the objectives for a new product (which covers service agencies, marketing platform, product specifications...etc, in conjunction with the concerned departments of the client and its JV partner.
-Will diistribute the vehicle model update details, after validation from the JV partner and the PDTM for the client, and ensures their codification (for product range (‘families’) management in China).
-Will monitor the styling needs which relate to the trends in order to ensure their consistency with the expectations of the local market and the brand image strategy in conjunction with the PDTM
-Will write reports on the vehicle styling service agencies for China
-Will participate in project decision meetings to validate the choices for product launch.
-Will attend each milestone meeting of validation of product data input one month before (volume, mix, selling price) with the key departments concerned (PDTM plus the department responsible for cost calculations and finance, those responsible for the different brands, those responsible for the strategic and finance of the JV
-Will write documents to record each product Milestone.
For existing products, he/she
-Establishes a plan of products’ evolution in the medium term.
-Participates in Technical Products Committees in order to validate the proposed products evolution.
-Sets up the process of exploring the client’s and JV partner’s resource needs.
-Provides the updated product reference documents (commercial ranges, selling price ....) and communicates with the PDTM and Brand Directors the necessary information for a world data matrix for a particular vehicle.
When following up various vehicle projects in parallel, he/she-
-Manages the liaision between the PDTM and Brand Directos for product- related questions.
-Continuously updates the China competition plan and the shares this with the PDTM and the department in charge of competitors product planning the competition analysis work to be carried out by the client’s technical department.
-Prepares reports on the local salons cooperating with the PDTM and competitor planning department.
-Participates in the preparation of the China volume plan, product plan, competition plan, market estimates and proposed business plans for the Group’s decision.
-Communicates to the department responsible for cost calculation the necessary information for updating the product General Ledger, the pre-contract documentation and the project contract for the Chinese market, as well as elaborating on the mid term planning.
QUALIFICATIONS:
-Proficient in English or French.
-Education : University degree required. Concentration in Marketing, Business, Engineering.
-3 to 5 years of automotive experience is essential, including some years in similar functions for JV or Chinese manufacturers.
