Job Summary:
The Senior Manager of Professional Education is responsible for planning, designing, managing, and the timely execution of a global-based (China and other countries) comprehensive training program to include medical education, product and sales training activities, to support all spine, orthopedic trauma and joints product platforms and therapies for the entire Medtronic Kanghui Orthopedic Group. Key responsibilities include identifying, prioritizing and managing both surgeon training programs/medical education courses and internal sales/distributor training initiatives; designing, developing and delivering appropriate training/medical education solutions; maintaining and managing materials and program contents; evaluating program effectiveness and developing follow up courses. The Senior Professional Training Manager will plan and execute activities for both Kanghui and Libeier organizations to build “best-in-class” professional training brand in China medical device industry. This is group level leadership position with high visibility.
Main Job Duties/Responsibilities:
1. Independently, or working with physician KOLs to design and develop education materials, training tools, operation manuals, etc. which related to orthopedic pathologies, product indications, surgical techniques, and clinical publications from both domestic as well as international journals.
2. Align with company’s market development strategy and customers’ clinical training needs, proactively develop annual medical education courses and effective projects for professional training, build “best-in-class” Kanghui’s professional education branding.
3. Coordinate PE programs with product marketing teams for new product launch activities
4. Frequently communicate with faculty members about the PE strategy, course information and the logistics of training events; assist faculty members to complete training course and surgical demonstration.
5. Develop annual training calendar and program agenda based on the internal and external trainee selection criteria, assisting the regional and global sales managers in trainee recruitment and selection.
6. Develop, manage and execute plan for on-line learn center content.
7. Ensure performance and training objectives and requirements are met within budgeted limits.
8. Establish frequent contact with key opinion leaders (KOLs) and broad surgeon customers for continued PE programs.
9. Design and implement the evaluation strategy to analyze program effectiveness, provide timely feedback to related management team to ensure the PE programs continued improvement and optimization.
10. Coordinate with and support professional societies for medical education courses, and outside vendors and consultants, etc.
Qualifications
1. Bachelor degree or above, preferably medical degree.
2. > 5-10 years of product marketing, sales or professional training experience in medical industry, preferably in orthopedic device.
3. > 3-5 years of management experience, manager level or above
4. Good communication skill and logical thinking capacity.
5. Fluent English, both in written and spoken.
6. Good understanding of human anatomy and orthopedic clinical knowledge, including the related products’ indication and surgical procedures; familiar with clinical operation.
7. Able to travel regularly for business.
