Management Trainee – MMCD Management Team (1-year program)

Overview

Our management trainee program is designed to give candidates a balance of credit insurance industry knowledge, analytical decision-making capabilities and people management skills. This provides the foundation to support long-term development as a specialist in credit insurance industry up to the management level.

The Role

- As part of the management trainee programme, you will have an opportunity to work in various functions under Commercial Underwriting and Distribution, Risk Underwriting and Analysis, Policy Administration and projects during the 12-month Program. You may also accompany underwriters and account managers on client visits.

- Take responsibility for sourcing, interpreting and providing reports on the financial, economic, commercial and political information that is vital to our customers and which is required by function heads.

- Complete delivery or projects and other ad hoc tasks within agreed timetables so that the company reduces costs, improves customer service and increases efficiencies.

- Form and build business relationships with clients, buyers and brokers.

- Conduct presentations to internal and external stakeholders as and when required.

- Follow company procedures, rules and guidelines to enable consistent business practice.

Our 12-month Trainee Program will provide you with exposures and learning opportunities in different departments and will gradually help you develop a thorough understanding of the group's products, services and organisation. This will enable you to carve your own career on the basis of where your personal strengths lie. In addition to the job rotation and training opportunities, our Management Trainees will also attend courses in order to develop core competencies in financial analysis, customer focus and personal development. After completing the 12-month Program, you may be offered a permanent position if you have demonstrated good performance, potential and dedication to developing a professional career in the trade credit insurance industry.

Requirements

1. Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Trade Economics or any related discipline.

2. Minimum 2 years’ experience in sales marketing or public relationship.

3. Knowledge of general financial economics.

4. Knowledge of insurance industry as a plus.

5. Good business acumen and be customer driven.

6. Good at building and maintaining relationships with internal and external parties.

7. Strong communication and presentation skills.

8. Good command of English and Mandarin, both written and spoken.

9. Conversant with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
