职位描述
On-going Tasks:
- Lead cable assembly/copper/FTTx product lines operational management, including spec change, process change, customer special requirement, support project bidding, etc.
- Establish understanding of regional and global market & technical trends to develop value propositions by closely work with commercial, R&D and mfg teams.
- Determine and maintain floor prices, internal transfer prices, special project prices and day to day quotations on special items.
- Initiate product transfer and responsible for product change notification to commercials inChina.
- Drive and coordinate business forecasts for product lines both made in Corning China plant and imported from manufactures.
- Support business in different regions by analyzing and understanding the competitive environment, pricing, profitability, new product developments, as well as new business opportunities.
- Define cost reduction opportunity and support material localization.
- Provide recommendation to China OCS PLM manager with recommendations on how to tailor marketing messaging and value props to achieve optimal P&L for the products in China
- Support market study and business development actions.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor degree in a technical and/or business field, master preferred
- 5+ years working experiences of product line management, marketing, technology or commercial functions in optical communications/connectivity industry in leading the development of product roadmaps
- Experiences in telecommunications industry preferred
Required Competency (Skills, Knowledge and Abilities)
- Operational skills: Pricing, planning and forecasting, and product costing and financial analysis skills
- Technical Knowledge: Understanding of the optical connectivity products and solutions used in data center, enterprise, internet or carrier networks; able to transfer customer requirement into technical specs and engineering & manufacturing requirements
- Experience in participating and leading significant complex projects with track record of successful project management
- Ability to work in matrix organization; able to build consensus and momentum without formal positional authority
- Ability to present a point of view or position with the supporting data/logic with candor even under strong pushback from others
- Ability to advise, influence and persuade
- Application Skills: Computer skills for maintaining spreadsheets for pricing, cost, and forecast information
- Intercultural skills and experience: ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing in English and Mandarin is required. Ability to work well in a team environment.
- Flexibility and willingness for business travel
