Intel RealSense Technology is to enable a more natural, intuitive and immerse paradigm of interaction in human-computer interfaces. This includes adding new sensors and enabling a broad eco-system of perceptual computing and exciting user experiences. We are looking to fill the position of an accomplished Senior Android Engineer with a strong background in HW or SW system level integration and rapid prototyping. In this role, the candidate will lead the Android SW development of industry-leading computing systems that integrate "senses" into the PC/Tablet/Phone/Robot/Drone/etc. allowing for solutions with novel human-computer interaction capabilities and usages.

The candidate will work closely with internal and external collaborators to pull together the necessary hardware, software, systems and technologies, resulting in demonstration and production of compelling new systems and usages. Candidate will be responsible for system architecture and design, hands-on SW development, optimizing power and performance, ensuring testability and manufacturability from component feasibility stage through production ramp. Candidate will also analyze early customer returns with emphasis on driving test hole closure activities, and optimizing performance, yield, cost, and quality.

Qualifications

* BS + 6 yrs. exp.; MS + 4 yrs. exp.; PhD + 2 yrs. exp. in CS and preferably with SW Systems Architectures is required.
* Proficient with Java and preferably another programming language, such as Python/C/C++ for prototyping of solutions
* Familiar with Kernel, Android Framework and Android application development.
* Experience with at least one Android integrated development environment such as Eclipse*, or Android Studio*
* Experience with OpenGL ES/EGL on Android development
* Demonstrated expertise in defining and developing innovative system solutions with leading edge technologies is required.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills are required. The candidate should have excellent verbal/written skills on English and Chinese.
* Besides technical expertise, the ability to work in Intel in a highly matrix and collaborative environment is required.
* The ability to rally cross-group contributors with varying subject matter expertise towards a common goal, and lead complex projects in a dynamic and ambiguous environment are required.
* The person must have demonstrated strong drive to accomplish high-impact results, setting tough goals for himself/herself and executing to it, energetic and positive spirits taking pride in achievements, and straightforwardness in dealing with others in a direct and productive manner.
* The candidate must be able to demonstrate consistent innovation and creativity in approach, and have direct experience with generating and protecting IP.
