Healthcare Detection & Guidance Solution

Role Summary/Purpose

This position provides the lead software engineer for global x-ray software engineering team. The role shall independently resolve the design issue and involve cross function design discussion.

Essential Responsibilities

• finish software design with good quality according to program inputs.
• Comply with the GE internal Software Development Life Cycle procedure for the whole software development activities.
• involve global design discussion and review for good design quality.
• join the cross-function review for the better features implementation.
• keep track on new technology, methodology and design concept, ensure that design activities hold a competitive level.
• software platforms maintenance and evolvement
• Software packages integration.
• Install base issues investigation and fixing.

Qualifications/Requirements

1. BS in Computer Engineering or equivalent experience
2. 3 years engineering experience in a related field
3. Be familiar with any of the following: C++, Linux & its shell script , perl
4. Solid Computer Science fundamentals in Object-Oriented design
5. Knowledge on state machine is preferred
6. Working experience in medical equipment or auto control industries.
7. Excellent global communication skill in English.
8. Quick learning skill.

Desired Characteristics

1. MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
2. Be familiar with CAN/CANOpen protocol.
3. Web programming skill is preferred. Such as PHP, JavaScript, CSS etc.
4. Demonstrated technical leadership capability in integration activities
5. Self-starter, energizing, results oriented, and able to multi-task
6. Excellent teamwork, coordination and communication skills
7. Global project experience
