IBM GSSC (Globalization Shared Services Center) is now looking for globalization developer. GSSC provides a comprehensive range of globalization services to IBM development teams. Our services cover globalization planning, translation management, globalization verification testing (GVT), globalization consultation, file management, and translation verification testing (TVT), globalization enablement, Globalization Codes Review and Language Pack Building and Kitting.

Employees in this role need to collaborate with Globalization Architects to deliver globalization enablement projects and/or globalization/translation tools. They need to ensure that the implemented components are unit tested and ready to be integrated into products/tools. They will also fix the defects identified by the verification team during the software/tools development life cycle. Familiar with building kitting etc process and tools.

Responsibilities

Work with Globalization Architects to enable products to support multicultural capability and translatability

Extract hard coded strings to resource files for translation

Work with the product development team to merge the globalization stream into the main stream

Develop features for globalization/translation tools

Fix globalization/tools related defects in a timely manner

Kitting building / language pack

Support the globalization testing team as needed

Required Skill:

2+ years of programming experience in an object-oriented programming language

Being familiar with the J2EE framework is a major plus

Being familiar with build kitting tools.

Ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment

Good interpersonal and communication skills

Knowledge in globalization requirements

Fluent English and Mandarin in reading, writing, listening, and speaking

Experience in agile project methodology and Continuous Delivery practices

Good at logical thinking, with analytical and communication skills

Good teamwork and interpersonal skills, creativity, and innovation

Required
