Essential Responsibilities

• Design and implement power supplies for the control system of locomotives and off-highway vehicles
• Flow down and clarify power supply requirements from system specifications, and lead design activities accordingly
• Meet product environmental specifications including thermal, mechanical and electromagnetic compatibility requirements
• Create verification and validation plan to prove the satisfaction of design requirements and quality/reliability metrics
• Use necessary tools to diagnose design and drive improvements
• Follow GE Transportation quality processes and work instructions when executing product development
• Work with supply chain to develop and qualify power supply suppliers
• Guide design program thru internal technical review, mentor junior & contingent engineering
• Plans work well, executes to consistently meet goals and objectives
• Uses multiple communication methods possible to ensure clear communication

Qualifications/Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or above in power electronic, automation or related major
• 15+ years of experiences in DC and AC power supply design and development
• Experiences with power supply modeling, analysis, simulation, verification and related hardware/software tools
• Familiar with the design and qualification of magnets, inductors and transformers
• Hands-on experience with the building, test and measurement of power supplies
• Strong analytical skills
• Self-motivated team-worker & strong player in global team
• Ability to work independently and systematically
• Good presentation and communication skills in English (oral and written)
• Ability to delivery in uncertain world; courageous in attempts to solve problems; not afraid of error

Desired Characteristics

• Certified Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt
• Experience with the design of digital power supply and control software
• Familiar with the control system of locomotive or off-highway vehicles

上世纪80年代起，中国进口了首批420台GE运输系统集团制造的ND5柴油内燃机车。2002年，GE运输系统集团在北京成立了通用电气运输系统（中国）有限公司，提供研发、制造和其他服务。2005年，GE运输系统集团与中华人民共和国铁道部签订了300台Evolution系列中国干线机车合同，用于中国各大铁路干线。2008年GE运输系统集团创建了第一个矿用自卸卡车电动马达生产厂，并成立了通用电气运输系统（沈阳）有限公司。2010年9月9日，GE公司与中国南车旗下的戚墅堰机车有限公司成立的合资企业正式开工奠基，在中国开发、制造GE Evolution系列机车柴油发动机并提供服务，以及向其它新兴市场提供出口。2010年12月，GE运输系统集团与中国南车股份有限公司签订了合作框架协议，将在美国建立合资公司来共同促进高速铁路及其他轨道交通技术在美国市场的推广发展。

在过去的6年多内，公司实现了两位数的业务增长，在北京、上海、大同、成都、常州和格尔木等城市设有办公室。
