Job description
As part of the IBM WebSphere, Java Technology Center (JTC) Shanghai team is responsible for IBM Java delivery including class library and Just-in-time compiler technology, plus other innovative projects like PaaS/Cloud.
Job Responsibilities:
- Implement support for wide range of performance tools for Java and static runtimes like C/C++.
- Lead the development and evolution of the Performance Inspector™ suite of performance analysis tools for Linux®, Windows®, AIX®, and ZOS® platforms. These tools give developers the ability to develop and understanding of the performance in their applications and the resources they consume. The tools can be used to help identify performance problems in an application, as well as how the application interacts with the operating system.
Job Requirements (skills/experiences) :
- At least 3 years experience in C++, and Java
- At least 4 years experience in C and Assembly Language Programming is a plus
- Familiarity with x86, POWER and System z an asset is a plus
- At least 3 years experience in debug tools or performance tools development systems is a plus
- Profound understandings of JVM, Compiler is a good plus
- Strong problem solving and debugging skills
- Aptitude to learn and apply knowledge quickly
- Passion to work as a professional software engineer, good communication skill, team player with leadership.
- Excellent written/spoken English
Additional information
- A demonstrated aptitude for low-level programming is a must.
- Operating Systems Experience in a variety of real-time operating systems and architectures
Qualifications(Education/Major/Certificates):
Bachelor's degree or above in CS related majors with 2+ years work experience in C and Assembly Language Programming.
