YOUR MISSION
The technical support of the EDF R&D group in China for developing sustainable urban projects, applying your skills as modeling engineer, you will acquire and provide expertise and technical solutions for eco-urban planning in the Chinese context.
YOUR JOB
The candidate has to fulfill the requirement for the main tasks as follows:
· Support the team in the development of concepts for sustainable cities, more precisely within the scope of eco-cities.
· Support the development of innovative approaches for a sustainable urban development from the conceptual to the very technical side.
· Work with urban planning engineers and support them in meetings with other partners and customers.
· Business travels in China are expected.
REQUIRED SKILLS
Educational skills:
· Master degree or higher at an engineering university or urban planning and architecture university with technical background (working experience is not mandatory).
Technical and personal skills:
· General knowledge and interest about sustainable urban planning or technologies on different aspects (energy as main aspect, but also water, transport, waste etc…)
· Have a comprehension about tools and methods within the energy or building field – modeling or additional programming skills should be given.
· Interest and knowledge for renewable energies matters or regarding environmental issues.
· Flexibility for adapting to different working environments and subjects.
· Communication skills due to the multicultural working environment.
Language skills:
· Chinese as mother tongue; good English level both spoken and written; any other language is welcome.

On 10th August 2008, all agreements related to the JV creation have been finalized. The JV will be created after its approval by the Chinese Government.
