Job description

We are hiring to software developer to work on IBM Omni-Channel Merchandising solutions. IBM Omni-Channel Merchandising solutions make it possible for retailers to blend the art of experience, taste and judgment with optimization science and advanced analytics. By combining these approaches, retailers can more intelligently determine the most desirable and profitable products, prices, promotions and markdowns. It requires analysis of merchandising and marketing data, and the application of science-based optimization to help businesses make informed decisions across pricing, promotions, markdown, assortment and customer loyalty.

The solutions are delivered as a cloud based enterprise application suite, with an effective architecture solving several challenging technical requirements - data processing and numerical analysis on very large data sets, optimization of that analysis, and the subsequent delivery of actionable insights that support customer business processes. Nowadays, leading retailers like Walmart, Walgreens, etc. are seeking a single system to manage their merchandising activities across multiple channels, using data and insights from one channel to intelligently affect decisions in another. This further urges the requirement for top talent software engineers who has passion and experience in Big Data(Hadoop, Spark), next generation UI development and experience in Saas offering to join us, in an exciting journey to transform the architecture to the next generation

Required Skills:

We are seeking either skill in UI, or big data ecosystem

For UI:

At least 5 years hands on UI development experience

Familiar with AngularJS, Bootstrap, HTML, CSS and Javascript

Knowledge on bower, gulp, Less, Saas is a plus

For big data ecosystem:

At least 5 years hands on Java development experience

Development experience in Hadoop / Spark

Proficient in Shell, Ruby.

Development experience on SaaS (software as a service) is a plus

Strong English and Chinese communication
