Information Server/DataWorks Performance Engineer

Job Description:

Do you feel excited to not only master performance engineering , but also grasp hot skills like BigData (Hadoop/YARN/Spark etc), Cloud (Bluemix/Softlayer) and DevOps( Jenkins/UCD)?

We're looking for an innovative performance engineer to join our team and work together with us to ensure that both Information Server on-premise (with big data engine) and DataWorks (with Cloud engine) are fast and scalable for our customers, able to handle a variety of users and loads.

Responsibilities:

Work closely with Product Management, Architect and Development teams to define areas for performance attack, propose performance test plan/scenarios, and create use cases for capacity planning

Design and implement benchmarks to generate metrics giving guidance on system characteristics

Perform performance/scalability testing on both on-prem and Cloud engines

Evangelize Information Server/DataWorks in the market and provide active support to resolve customer problems(especially performance issues)

Requirements:

5+ years industry experience

Ability to find root cause of performance bottlenecks

Experience in tackling problems of load, scale, and optimization of complex large-scale deployments

Skilled in scripting languages and test automation

Skilled in a high level object-oriented language like C++/C# or Java

Equal comfort in Microsoft and Unix/Linux environments in terms of both tools and systems administration

Experience in Big data technologies like Hadoop/Spark is a plus

Experience in Cloud technologies like Bluemix/Softlayer is a plus

Education:

Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, or equivalent
