We are looking for talented, ambitious and dedicated Software Engineers that are interested in becoming part of an exciting high profile development team. If you enjoy challenging work and learning something new and exciting every day then this is exactly the job for you. You will be joining the the extended Smart Cloud Enterprise+ (SCE+) team. This newly formed extended team will be responsible for delivering a key solution in IBM's Cloud portfolio by extending our private cloud solution capabilities to meet IBM's enterprise customer cloud computing requirements.

As a Software Engineer you will have several responsibilities as part of a larger world wide software development team. You will work with the project architect(s) and a team of 3 to 7 other developers through analysis, design, implementation, test and deployment of new features. Ideal candidates should be motivated and enthusiastic software developers able to work under little guidance, with strong analytical and problem solving skills. They should be able to pick up new technologies and implement prototypes in a quick and timely fashion. Individuals must work well in a collaborative environment and be adaptable in taking on assignments that help in achieving the end goal of customer success.

The primary responsibilities of this position will include, but will not be limited to:

Helping with laying down requirements for new features

Developing solutions based on the designs that fulfill the documented requirements and meet other goals such as user-experience, aesthetics, performance, reliability and scalability

Working with other engineers in an agile development process

Working with a QA team to ensure the final product is as good as it can be

Providing support and guidance for customer deployment

Requirements:

Tech Skills

Familiar with most of the following programming languages

- Ruby(priority language skill)

- Java, J2EE

- JavaScript and HTML (priority language skill)

- Bash/Windows batch shell

- ANT/MAKE/MAVEN build scripts

Solid understanding the following technologies and products

- Business Process Flow (IBM BPM server)

- Service management (ISM)

- Provisioning workflow (VMC/vCenter,TPM/TSAM )

- High availability and disaster recovery (System P & X)

Others

Master's Degree or very experienced bachelor

English: Fluent (strong communication skills)

Good Performance history

Active and passionate for new technologies

Plus

At least 5 years experience in Software Development

At least 3 years experience in Agile Development principles

At least 2 years experience in Cloud Computing, or virtualization

Required

Bachelor's Degree
