The hexagon is often found in nature in the form of snowflakes, crystals,

and of course in honeycombs. A honeycomb is uniquely strong structures in

which bees raise their young, protect their colony, and help the group

prosper.

A honeycomb is a mass of hexagonal wax cells that, when built on top of each

other, become one of the most profound systems seen on Earth. These

hexagonal walls use the least material to create a lattice of cells in the

most efficient manner. From honeycombs to snowflakes to modern architecture,

the hexagon stands as one of the most dynamic shapes, and engineers marvel
