Position Purpose

Develop and optimize import logistics operation procedure to support Lincoln/Ford import growth plan and flawless execute daily/weekly/monthly vehicle delivery plan in China compound.

Key Roles and Responsibilities of Position

Manage warehouse SOP storage/PDI capacity plan to support new program launch

Manage daily vehicle operations of PD/Storage/Maintenance/Repair in warehouse to support delivery plan

Inventory status and support finished vehicle inventory reduction, especial long aging units

Warehouse facility management and location optimization

Business Leader on GVDS(Global Vehicle Distribution System) launch for vehicle import logistics operation

Safety coordinator for vehicle import operation

Program Launch Support (Warehouse)

- Lead logistics supplier on warehouse operation implementation to support new program launch.

- Coach logistics supplier on Ford warehouse standard operation procedure (SOP).

- Evaluate, develop and implement yard storage/PDI capacity plan to support new program launch and volume increase.

- Support Program team to process media vehicles in compound to ensure flawless launch of new models.

- Work with GVDS IT or regional business teams to set up/implement GVDS where necessary to support program launch and volume increase.

Warehouse Operation Management

- Develop China compound production forecast plan to support Sales rolling wholesale and company stock plan.

- Manage daily compound/PDI operations, and ensure 100% compliance with Ford warehouse Standard Operation Procedure (SOP).

- Lead daily compound production and shipping meeting, to review key status and production plan.

- Manage warehouse operation performance to achieve on time vehicle release with high logistics quality.

- Prioritize vehicle release for Sales prioritized orders, such as Presidential Series, VIP…etc.

- Support PVT and Program to develop rework plan for stop ship vehicles, meeting Sales requirements.

- Optimize warehouse process of PDI, vehicle movement, storage, maintenance, repair and reworks, to improve efficiency, quality and safety.

- Ensure data integrity and compliance of supplier daily compound operation in GVDS CMS.

- Validate monthly payment of various compound activities detail and identify discrepancy.

- Improve vehicle delivery reliability of warehouse lead time, to increase Sales & Dealers satisfaction.

Inventory Control Management

- Lead regular inventory audit with Finance to ensure 100% inventory accuracy.

- Provide daily compound inventory status report to support Sales and Quality planning.

- Prioritize aging vehicles flow by providing aging status from plant release and compound arrival.

- Provide senior leadership weekly compound inventory aging analysis to review issues and action plan, expediting vehicle flow movement and minimizing inventory cost.

- Support finished vehicle inventory reduction/rationalization by working with FIN, MS&S, and Quality, and follow up actions to drive the reduction of long aging units.

- Support MS&S to evaluate and maintain right mix of inventory in the entire import supply chain.

Facility Management

- Analyze, develop and implement compound capacity plan to meet rolling Sales program.

- Ensure optimal layout to meet quality handling requirements for all models.

- Optimize compound capacity requirements by driving Sales ordering change and Logistics operation change optimization.

- Conduct compound location and multiple compound analysis for increasing import volume.

- Manage PDI capacity plan to process increasing arrival volume, meeting port to OKTS delivery lead time.

Support GVDS(Global Vehicle Distribution System) Launch for Vehicle Import Logistics Operation

- Drive GVDS IT team to fix issues on time by tracking and review status.

- Lead GVDS SOP development and implementation in daily operation.

- Improve GVDS CMS to support daily compound operation.

- Improve GVDS CPS report for ETA tracking.

- Implement GVDS changes required to improve existing operations and support new model launch/volume increase.

- Lead regular GVDS trainings for business users/suppliers.

- Define new requirements with IT on new project of vehicle distribution system.

Safety

- Safety Coordinator in the department to ensure operation compliance to Safety Standard

> Monitor if 3PL’s operation compliances to Ford and 3PLs safety operation requirements

> Coordinate/conduct regular safety audit on 3PL’s operation (PDI, warehouse, vehicle delivery etc)

> Coordinate/Provide safety training to Ford and 3PL employees.

- Warehouse and transportation facility meets China government regulations.

- No serious injuries in daily operation.
