- For our GS IT in Beijing, we are looking for a Teamcenter System Administrator at the earliest opportunity.
What are my responsibilities?
- This position will require working primarily on Windows and Unix (Linux, Solaris ) platforms.
Provide Tier 3 system support including investigation, diagnosis, resolution, recovery, and documentation.
Duties include:
- System performance monitoring, analysis and initiating action in line with the procedures, installing system wide software, support of client/server environment needs in a Unix (Solaris and Linux) – Windows homogenized environment.
- Operates as part of a larger application administration team and therefore must be able to
communicate and work well with all IT organizations and customers.
- Act as primary contact to regional entities
- Collaborate with other interfaced solutions (design tools, ERP/SAP, other engineering data sources).
- Deliver knowledge transfer in order to facilitate better usage Teamcenter technologies within corporation with solution management teams.
- Familiar with programming/scripting languages, operating systems, database, Internet/Web, networks, etc.
- Participates in a team that manages a Teamcenter 4 tier and multi-site environment from a system support perspective.
- Provide expertise to support Teamcenter Application key-users.
- Participate in and contribute to team activities/morale
- Identify, prioritize, address and provide solutions to open issues related to tickets and Service Requests
- Seek advice and escalates issues when faced with tasks outside normal job scope
What do I need to qualify for this job?
Experience:
- Minimum of 4 years of supporting Teamcenter UA Apps in four tier Architecture providing support for workflows user connectivity and starting and stopping Teamcenter application in Solrais,Linux and Windows environment in an international company within an multicultural team.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree (BS) in Information Technology or Computer Science or relevant experience
Professional Knowledge:
- Must have knowledge of Windows and Unix (Solaris and Linux) operating systems as well as client/server environments
- Needs to be familiar with Web Sphere, JBOSS or other web application software
- Good understanding of Systems Administration and distributed computing concepts.
- Need to have advanced knowledge and previous experience of databases and CAD systems
- Proficient with configuration control and software installation practices
- Proficient with Siemens PLM configuration tools and customization tools.
- Experience with Teamcenter installation, upgrades in a 2 tier and 4 tier environments
- Working knowledge of Pro-E and NX, CAD integrations to Teamcenter
- Working knowledge of Oracle 11g or later
- Working knowledge of Siemens PLM product suite including Reporting & Analytics, TSTK, Workflows and BMIDE
- Working knowledge supporting multisite environments, including import/export issues and FMS configuration management a plus Experience with Teamcenter installation, upgrades with multi-site configurations.
