Position: Senior Engineer, Metal

Division/Department: Quality Assurance
Location: Beijing

? Planning, realizing and coordinating of chemical and/or physical and/or functional tests and investigations of metallic materials,
? Coordinating and realizing of investigation and creating release reports for localization of raw material or supplier change in cooperation with JV’s and VW group
? Evaluation of fracture and wear surfaces with stereo, light or scanning electron microscope including EDX analysis for mechanical or triboligical failures
? Realization of assisting metallurgical analysis methods like metallography, OES and hardness and microhardness measurement
? Controlling of special tasks for achieving and keeping the product quality acc. Volkswagen product specifications as well as legal requirements
? Support and consulting the JV laboratories in lab investigation of purchased and CKD parts, determination of testing methods and definition of test procedures to be used
? Detailed failure analyses of end of release test parts or of parts failed at the customer
Our Requirements:

Necessary education:
? Bachelor, Master or Diploma Degree, PhD in Mechanical or Materials Technology or comparable

Personal skills:
? strong analytical thinking
? excellent presentation skills
? good communication skills

Working experience (in years):
? 5-10 years in material technology (development, production or quality) and well experienced in failure analyses
? well experienced in automobile techniques, especially engines and transmissions
? engineering interdiciplinarity

Remarks (Language, IT-Knowledge, Certificates etc.):
? Chinese and fluent German and/or English
