Position: Business information Modeler（数据模型顾问，Banking）
Location:Guangzhou

Summary Description
The Data Modeling Consultant is responsible for transforming business information into logical data models and managing the enterprise data model. The emphasis on this position is the “modeling of the business” that is required for a successful data warehouse. This goes beyond the role of a typical application level “data modeler” in that it requires modeling from an enterprise perspective rather than from a single business function perspective. The Data Modeling Consultant is proficient in industry standard techniques for process modeling and data modeling. Within data modeling, the Data Modeling Consultant must be proficient in 3rd normal form relational modeling. Dimensional modeling experience would be a strong added value for online analytical processing. This role must be experienced in group facilitation with participants from diverse business functions and work skills.
Key Areas of Responsibility
？ Design and normalize the logical data model to third normal form.
？ Facilitate the discovery of entities, attributes, relationships, and business rules from the functional experts and the user community.
？ Develop and manage data models and associated metadata for the enterprise.
？ Provides professional service on data warehouse modeling for customers in banking industry base on the Teradata data warehouse implementation methodology.
？ Provide both pre-sale and post-sale implementation work for the Teradata FS-LDM product.
？ Play a key role in the Business Discovery, Information Discovery and Data model design & customization phase of data warehouse implementation.
？ Support on the Banking business related work especially on business requirement analysis, data modeling, ad-hoc querying and application supporting.
？ Researches and writes sections of proposals.
？ Coaching and supporting the business users of data warehouse.
？ Assist in building relationships with business customers in the client's organization.
Basic Qualifications
？ Bachelor’s Degree or above, major in computer science or financial related.
？ In depth knowledge of RDBMS theory and SQL.
？ Proficient in 3rd normal form relational modeling and/or dimensional modeling for data marts.
？ Familiar with banking business.
？ Familiar with major data modeling tools, such as ERwin.
？ Knowledge of the banking operational systems is a plus.
？ Minimum 2 + years working experience of large-scale IT companies or IT departments in the financial services industry. 5 + relevant experience for senior position.
Work Environment
Flexible to work in an office or customer site and to travel across South China when required.
