(1)工作职责Responsibility：

Responsible for the design and development activities associated with methods for validating hardware/software systems, and broader solutions. Prepares test and diagnostic programs, designs test fixtures and test tools, and completes validation specifications and procedures for new and changes to existing products. Plans the labor, schedules, equipment, and software required for validating and evaluating our solutions. Uses current product performance information and other means to gauge customer usage to the product development teams

- Develops and documents test plans and test cases for newly developed or current hardware, software, and solutions products.

- Develops test tools and automation for in use testing.

- Directs a test team during test execution, and reports results to development engineers and leadership.

- Creates test plans that include resource requirements, schedule assumptions and scope based on inputs from the Development and Marketing.

- Provides the Engineering Manager with a High Level Test Strategy and comprehensive test plan for new hardware, software, and solutions products.

- Oversees the execution and reports the results of product validation on new hardware, software, and solutions products.

- Interfaces with external validation partners to develop comprehensive test plans and tests coverage across multiple test organizations.

- Manages and reports on test deliverables and test execution from validation partners

- Counsels Test Engineers on current technology test methods and tools.

- Mentors new engineers in other test groups at Dell.

- In specific fields of expertise, conducts technical training for test engineers and technicians within the test group.

- Works across test groups to establish end-to-end test planning and execution.

- Works across test groups to reduce test redundancy and close gaps in test coverage.

- Works with ODMs and test partners to define comprehensive end-to-end test coverage.

- Manages ODMs and test partners throughout all phases of test projects.

- Develops and executes test automation scripts

(2)职位要求Qualification：

- 10+ years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience

- Understanding of hardware and software system architecture.

- Understanding of hardware and software interactions, and able to apply this understanding to resolve issues.

- Able to easily achieve mastery of new tools, languages and operating systems.

- Proficient in reading and understanding technical data sheets

- Undergraduate degree and 6-8 years relevant experience or Graduate degree and 4-6 years relevant experience

- Good communication and documentation skills

- Ability to communicate effectively in English (verbal and written)

- Good trouble-shooting ability, strong self-start and initiative

- Be familiar with virtualization technologies/products, such as VMware/Citrix/MS

- Good experience in administrating Windows Server, e.g, AD/CA/DHCP/DNS

- Knowledge of networking technology including wire/wireless authentication

- Rich experience in software testing

- Not only finding bugs but also root reasons

- Detailed bug report

- Clear thoughts of case design

- Skills as below are also preferred

- Scripts skill, perl/shell

- Linux OS background

- HTML/XML

- Cisco AP/switch/routers configurations.

- IPv6 experience
