Working relationship:
- direct reporting line to Head of Product China
- close relationship with internal Design Team, Production Team & Technical Team
- contact with Retail Team, Marketing Team, external suppliers and partners
Responsibilities:
- responsible to support continuos growth and success of J.LINDEBERG China
- responsible to create brand relevant and commercial collections, from initial product
concept to final product
- initiate, prepare and facilitate quarterly cross-functional product review, capture learnings
for future seasons and follow up on action steps
- coach and give guidance to Junior Designer
- identify, visualize and present new, commercial and brand relevant trends
- source latest brand relevant fabrics, trims and labels
- daily cooperation with Head of Product and design team members
- establish and maintain strong working relationship with production & technical team
- communicate and coordinate all necessary information (accurate design sheets,
specifications, etc) to related parties to ensure a timely handover and deadlines are met
throughout the design and development process
- follow up with cross-functional team to meet assigned price and margin targets on model
and category level
- inspirational trips for sample shopping in china / asia (if necessary)
- trips to supplier for handover / fitting to ensure high brand quality standards are met
Requirements:
- minimum bachelor degree
- minimum of 3-4 years of related work experience
- extensive knowledge of design process across various product types
- high level understanding of brand relevant design quality and workmanship
- commercial understanding for brand, competitors and target consumer
- ability to work independently, take ownership and initiative
- proactive, open minded and solution oriented mindset
- flexible and organized way of working
- very good understanding of english (written and oral)
IT skills:
- expert in Illustrator & Photoshop
- familiar with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
