Job Summary
The Software Developer brings specific technical knowledge about the development of software and the tools needed to undertake software development and packaging. This role is focused on the programming required for custom application development, custom ETL functions, and any other areas requiring hand coding. Languages may include JAVA, HTML, C/C++, and others. The role is additionally applicable to custom and advanced SQL Extensions development including UDFs, UDTs, XSPs, and SQL SPs.
The Software Developer will participate in the requirements gathering, design, development, packaging, and implementation of software. The Software Developer provides leadership in utilizing a defined software development methodology to develop software and in the most appropriate use of the available tools.
The ideal candidate should know well about the software development methodology and workflow. Candidate should be able to write high-level and detail-level design specifications and develop from those comprehensive specifications. The ideal candidate should also be able to write unit test cases and automation scripts in addition to code development.

Key Responsibilities
？ This position requires technical skills that can be demonstrated and an ability to resolve complex problems quickly while working in a demanding, high pressure environment.
？ Interface with users to define and document software design requirements.
？ Analyze, design, develop and maintain custom applications written by JAVA, HTML, C/C++, and others. Being able to design solutions, write code, design, develop and write test cases, run unit testing, performance testing and perform general system integration testing in support of the Software Development Life Cycle.
？ Develop and sustain automated testing and integration functional testing.
？ Write technical documents that accurately describe feature/designs.
？ Present solutions/applications to customers and collect feedback to improve them.

？ Nonscheduled travel (50%) to customer sites on demand

Basic Qualifications
？ BS in Computer Science or related field with 3+ year programming experience.
？ In depth knowledge of the software development tools, Eclipse is a must.
？ In depth knowledge of the software development processes and methodology.
？ In-depth knowledge of J2EE and mainstream J2EE frameworks, such as Struts, Spring, Ibatis, Hibernate, etc.
？ Solid knowledge of HTML / DHTML, JSP / Servlet, JavaScript, and CSS.
？ Experience with popular Web Application servers, such as Tomcat, JBoss, WebLogic, WebSphere,etc.
？ Good OO design skills, familiar with design patterns and UML.
？ Experience with at least one of the major commercial database such as Teradata, Oracle, DB2, SQL server, etc.
？ Experience with Ant, Maven, Ivy and Continuous Integration technologies is a plus.
？ Experience with Java open source software and C/C++ is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
？ Experience with iOS and Adroid development.
？ Experience with popular BI tools, such as Cognos, BO, Microsoft, etc.
？ Knowledge of Hadoop and experience with MapReduce programming.
？ Experience with scripting (eg. Korn shell) and background with UNIX, Linux and Windows Operating Systems.
？ Some knowledge of software development methodologies (Agile, Waterfall)
？ Experience with project management.
