Summary Description
We are looking for a Hadoop service architect with passion and energy to help us in our quest to change the future. The person will work on our Hadoop projects (Map Reduce, Hive, HCatalog, Sqoop, and etc), collaborate with engineers from R&D team and Horton Works (the people who wrote Hadoop) on partnership deliverables, and is responsible for not only architect the Hadoop components in the customer IT environment but also need to deliver the related service with the customer. The person will collaborate extensively with the other architects and team members of Teradata.
Key Areas of Responsibility
？ Architect, design and implement big data solutions for the customers based on the Teradata big data solutions and products.
？ Take the solution architect role in the customer site project team.
？ Mentoring the others.
？ Lead the virtual team to develop the Hadoop and big data related capabilities.
Work Environment
Flexible to work in an office and to travel across South China when required
Basic Qualifications
？ 5+ years hands-on software development experience with Java/XML/HTML5/Javascript, Eclipse/Maven and widely-used frameworks
？ 3+ years of Hadoop/MapReduce experience
? Programming experience with MapReduce
? At least 2 year of working experience with large scale Hadoop environments including design and applications implementation
? Deep understanding and hands-on experience with the overall Hadoop ecosystem (HDFS, Map Reduce, Pig/Hive, Hbase etc)
？ 3+ years hands-on experience with architecture ,development, installation, and administration on Big Data Hadoop platforms, preferably with Cloudera,Hortonworks or other equivalent distributions
？ Real hands on experience productizing and building business applications on Hadoop & BigData platform
？ Expertise with components of Hadoop stack; YARN, ZooKeeper, MapReduce,Hive,Pig, Spark, Parquet, Impala, HBase, Phoenix and other NoSQL DB implementations like Mongodb, Couchbase,Redis,Cassandra etc.
？ Expertise with Full-Text searching engine or tools, such as Lucene, Elastic Search and Solr
？ Experience with messaging framework such as Kafka distributed real-time computation frameworks such as Storm,Spark streaming and MR pipeline frameworks such as Crunch
？ Good command on Linux platforms with scripting languages like Shell, Python, and being comfortable with Linux commands & environment
？ Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills; particularly those that apply to a Big Data environment
？ Good written and oral communication in English and cross-group collaboration skills
？ Bachelor’s degree in technology related fields or higher
Preferred Qualifications:
？ Prior consulting experience in the above areas preferred
？ Masters or PhD degree in technology related fields
