Position: Group Program Manager

Location: Beijing, China

We are making a big bet with Office 365 and the Beijing, China based MODC team is looking for a Principal Group Program Manager to lead our vision to “Unlock the power of Office365 by providing admins the confidence of control with one uncompromised management and reporting experience”. Our mission is to provide for an administrative experience that is SIMPLE for everyday information workers yet sophisticated enough to address the needs of our larger cloud customers.

The Group Program Manager will own the product vision, lead a team of passionate PMs and work closely with our Beijing based, highly motivated engineering and UX teams. This is a high stress, high visibility role (part and parcel of running a successful global serviceJ) with huge career growth opportunities for the right candidate.

The ideal candidate has a deep passion for customers as well as technology, works well in a dynamic, fast paced environment with multiple stakeholders/partners and is results driven. He/She is creative and thinks outside of the box, has a passion for developing people, a perspective that is global, and yearns for an international adventure.

REQUIRED qualifications include:

- 10+ years of experience in a services focused Program/Product management role.

- Strong customer empathy and track record of driving business requirement clarity amidst ambiguity

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to paint a vision of the future and impact & influence at all levels throughout the organization

- History of managing complicated initiative with multiple partners and dependencies

- Hands on experience with “Lean Startup” principles and methodologies

- Successful track record of leading large engineering teams to deliver on business value

- A bachelor or graduate degree in Computer Science or a related discipline and/or relevant work experiences

PREFERRED qualifications include:

- Experience as an IT administrator or in running a large online service

- Training as a data scientist with background in data mining and statistics

- Experience in working cross time zone and in leading a highly motivated Chinese engineering team

- Proficient in spoken/written Chinese
