Description of the main principle tasks & responsibilities in the dimensions of operational, financial, process & tools,
and people related
？ Duties Before inspection:
o Organise briefing with Project Supply Quality manager “PSQ” before leaving office
o Confirm inspection with supplier (date & time, location, contact) as per notification
o Organise travel and accommodation
o Collect purchase order, specifications, quality control plan, list of previous NCR’s to
establish requirements applicable during the inspection
？ Duties during inspection at Suppliers:
o Attend the test/control (with Customer when required)
o Check compliance with specified requirements (quality control plan, technical
specification, ITPL, test procedures…)
o Identify and report discrepancies (nonconformities, punch items) if any
o Follow the corrections and corrective actions for the discrepancies (nonconformities,
punch items) opened
o Contact by phone Alstom Plants relevant parties if necessary
o Issue minutes of inspection
o Collect relevant documents
o Check the End of Manufacturing Report (EOMR)
？ Duties after inspection
o Report by phone to PSQ to inform him about the results of the intervention if necessary
o Prepare and send intervention report to the project supply quality manager and beyond
as per the project setup
o Issue or request for a nonconformity report when a technical deviation is identified,
o Issue or request for a punch item for the gap(s) connected to remaining job to be done,
o Follow-up on the punch items and opened NCR’s (when required),
o Follow-up on the corrections and corrective actions for the NCR’s opened (when
required),
o Provide input to the supplier performance rating,
？ Drive the culture change to increase Customer satisfaction and “right first time” effectiveness of
the tests

？ Completeness and conformity of the equipment
？ Completeness, conformity and on-time delivery of the associated documentation
？ Achievement of NC’s targets
？ On-time issuance of quality surveillance reports compliant with Alstom requirements

7.1 Education & Trainings
Mandatory
？ Engineering degree
Desirable (NICE TO HAVE)
？ Engineering or university degree in quality management, mechanical or electrical
？ Certification as AWS CWI, EN 473 Level II VT, or equivalent international certification
7.2 Professional Experience
Experience gained on the job during professional life
Mandatory (MUST)
？ 3-5 year experience in a technical or quality function
Desirable (NICE TO HAVE)
？ Experience in Non-Destructive Examination (NDT)
？ Experience in welding
？ Experience in corrosion protection (painting, galvanizing)
？ Experience in electrical systems
