Dell Services is a global provider of information technology solutions. We are currently looking for an ETL Architect to join our Consulting Solutions team. Up to 75% travel is expected.

Overview:

Designs, develops and implements total systems solutions to the enterprise-wide technical requirements of customers. These solutions deal with the major business processes or systems utilized to analyze, optimize and manage the overall enterprise business operations. The task requires installation of software, integrating with hardware, processes, methodologies, and software within the customer environment. Participates with the customer in the strategic design process and translates business needs into technical systems solutions. Responsible for the deployment, technical accuracy and completeness of integrated systems designs.

- Implements technical solutions and management processes to achieve overall objectives by means of implementing systems or enterprise-wide solutions, using the company's or a third-party's hardware/software products and/or processes and methodologies.

- Integrates solutions and strategies within the customer environment, based on the analysis of customer business goals, objectives, needs, and existing systems infrastructure.

- Identifies additional product/services sales opportunities in customer organization.

- Assists the sales organization and related Practice Areas as technical/industry subject matter experts.

- Role requires skills and understanding of the industry best practices and methodologies to tie dissimilar components together into an aggregate system.

Job Responsibilities:

- Works as a consulting team member or an individual technical consultant in the development of technical or business solutions within the consulting practice area

- Under moderate supervision, works on projects of average difficulty, usually involving multiple products and platforms

- Analyzes customer business goals, objectives, needs, and existing infrastructure and applies principles, concepts and techniques of skills in developing solutions and strategies

- Delivers consulting project activities requiring varied interpersonal and technical skills

- Interacts with company and client managers and identifies additional solutions in client organization

- Serves as a pre-sales support specialist through the development of materials when needed in support of more senior consultants

- Performance is typically measured by deliverables and/or solutions within budgeted hours

Required Skills

- 5+ years experience with full life cycle data warehouse/analytics project or similar project implementations working with the mainstream ETL tools; including SAP BW & Business Objects Data Integrator, Informatica, IBM Datastage; MS SSIS; Dell Boomi

- 5+ years experience with full life cycle data warehouse/analytics or similar project implementations working with the mainstream DBMS Technologies; including SAP BW; Oracle, Teradata and/or MS SQL Server 2008/2012/PDW;

- Be a senior technical data integration designer and solution architect able to understand data modeling, ETL & Data Integrtation, and reporting tools

- Managed/executed a portion of a Data Warehouse, data integration and/or analytics project from blueprint to go-live

- Good problem solving skills

- Responsible for ETL & Data Integration Architecture that includes, environment, design, development and maintenance

- Establish and enforce ETL architecture and data integration standards

- Collaborate with Delivery teams to understand business context and suggest / direct appropriate methods and reference patterns to acquire data from various performance sensitive source systems

- Consult, review and approve enhancements to existing model from an ETL impact/ assessment standpoint

- Work with delivery team to understand performance bottlenecks

- Leads and counsels professional level team members

- Develops and communicates plans/objectives to others

- Good problem solving skills required

- Strong written and verbal communication skills

- Strong Leadership skills

Desired Skills

- Leadership experience in a Big 5 organization preferred

- Experience with architecture and configuration on SAP BW is preferred

- Experience with architecture and configuration with MS SQL Server and MS Parallel Data Warehouse is preferred

- Experience with architecture and configuration with Oracle is preferred

- Exposure to MPP database technologies such as IBM Netezza; Teradata Asterdata; Paraccel; HP Vertica, desired.

Minimum Educational Requirements

- Bachelor's Degree preferred

Minimum Certifications or Other Professional Credentials

- SAP certification(s) or equivalent experience

- BI certification(s) or equivalent experience

- Oracle certification(s) or equivalent experience

- Microsoft Certified Professional desired

- Microsoft Certified Master desired
