Job description

This position is for a Development Support engineer working on AIX Technical Support for Japanese clients. Engineers in this role are expected to:

Work directly with clients to diagnose and solve technical problems;

Document problem determination actions and plans in service records;

Collaborate with other support organizations;

Communicate solutions or plans to customer as appropriate;

Provide training for and mentor others on the team. Required Skills:

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering;

Fluent in Spoken and written Japanese;

Good interpersonal communication;

Technical support background, good to have knowledge of AIX kernel, Unix, networking, etc.

Strong analytical, problem solving skills;

Ability to handle large customer critical situations;

Preferred to have IT technical support in Unix environment or any related field;

At least 5 years in Japanese speaking environment; Additional Information:

For those who wants to locate in Dalian, there maybe an opportunity to base locally after Shanghai training period;

IBM will provide extra transportation fees or relocation assistance for candidates who willing to relocate to Shanghai. (1468)
