Job Summary
Lead program activities for Product Development, working closely with stakeholders across the organization to deliver on-time and high quality software products that align with Websense business goals. Will serve as primary liaison between Product Management and Engineering and be experienced in managing all aspects of program planning, execution, control, monitoring and closing.

Essential Functions
* Manage program scope, time, risk, resources, communication, quality and release
* Interact with others to gain acceptance to process change and educate them on the new process

Required Qualifications:
* 3+ years of experience project managing full software development life cycle (SDLC) efforts
* Must have previous software engineering project management or program management experience in commercial software industry
* Experience with client / server, networking and device driver applications
* Proven ability to manage concurrent software development efforts using formal software engineering and program management practices
* Ability to effectively manage time and cost for software development efforts through activity duration, sequencing, estimating, schedule development and control, resource planning and cost estimating and budgeting and control using formal software engineering and program management practices
* Ability to effectively manage communications during complex program environment through communication planning, information distribution and performance reporting using formal program management practices
* Demonstrated ability to influence across organizational boundaries
* Proven ability to manage programs across global development centers
* Ability to effectively manage program risk for software development efforts through risk identification, quantification and control using formal program management practices
* Bachelor’s degree in Management, Computer Science, or related field

Desired Qualifications:
* Experience with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) process creation and distribution
* Experience with Microsoft Project and Excel
* Familiarity with complex technical software development environments and/or networks.
* Knowledge of TCP/IP and networking protocols
* Knowledge of Firewalls, Proxy, and Cache appliances
* QA or Development Management background a plus
* Six-Sigma certification a plus
* PMP certification a plus
