Senior Wireless Platform System Software Engineer

Overview
Intel Network Platforms Group is looking for a senior software engineer who wants to be on the cutting edge of next generation wireless/radio network technology by developing prototypes and software reference designs. This engineer will work with a team of wireless software engineers to create virtualized wireless/radio network framework that spans from core to radio access network (RAN) based on the upcoming 5G wireless, software defined network (SDN) and Network Functional Virtualization (NFV) technologies.

You will apply your skills to multi-tasking the following items:
? Developing virtualized wireless network framework prototypes & reference designs based on Intel Architecture using C/C++ on Linux
? Developing prototypes to showcase content aware services at wireless network edge based on VT
? Actively discussing with Telecom Equipment Manufacturers and Telecom Operators to gather their views on next generation wireless network framework
? Actively participating in all stages of software development life-cycle (e.g. requirements definition, research, validation, post-release support activities, etc.)
? Thoughtfully working with architects and other software developers to resolve technical issues

Qualifications
? Proficient C/C++ & Linux
? Master degree or PhD degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Communication Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related technical background/education
? 3~5 years of working experience in wireless base station platform system software
? Virtualization technologies
? Familiar with actual base station software architecture and implementation
? Additional qualifications a plus or is willing to learn:
o Familiar with OS kernel/principle, Linux is preferred.
o Experience of NFV and SDN
o Familiar with Intel virtualization technologies, e.g. VT-x, VT-d, etc.
o Familiar in qemu/KVM usage
o Familiar with wireless network protocols, especially LTE upper layer wireless stacks
