Responsibilities

Our Advisory Deals teams assist our clients investing in or acquire Chinese targets in examining the Target's IT management and organisation, understanding the underlying architecture and system designs for day-to-day operations and other management information systems. Increasingly there is also a need to review for compliance with standard licensing requirements and if there are adequate security and disaster recovery strategies in place. Our IT due diligence also assist our clients in identifying and planning for post-deal issues on IT operation and technology integration and planning for adequate financial and IT resources early.



As a manager for Due Diligence Services, you need to:

Develop international business through the firm's international network;
Develop local business by pitching to domestic companies and MNCs in China;
Perform risk management procedures including drafting engagement letters and budgeting projects;
Scope out projects;
Carry out detailed analysis of target data, enabling the identification of key issues and opportunities;
Interact with target management, developing an understanding of the business supporting the conclusions of your analysis;
Produce reports and prepare key summary section;
Review reports and prepare key summary section;
Identify deal issues and provide suggestions for solutions;
Identify service opportunities and work with relevant functional specialists (across different Business Units/Lines of Services) to cross-sell these opportunities to clients;
Assist clients in deal structuring and documentation matters;
Work closely with financial, operational and commercial diligence teams to develop and execute joint projects;
Manage deliverables and project economics;
Conduct trainings to other staff members in the team.


Requirements

Bachelor's degree or above, preferably with specialization in Information Technology;
Eight to ten years of relevant experience in corporate IT departments or IT consulting firms and have significant IT due diligence and systems implementation experience;
Familiar with business and finance processes for major companies;
A proven ability to translate client objectives into deliverable design and develop deliverables that address complex situations;
Experience in pre- and post-acquisition diligence projects will be a strong plus;
Hands-on experience in evaluation, design and deployment of corporate performance metrics and reporting in at least 2 systems (e.g. Hyperion, Cognos, Oracle, SAP, Chinese IT packages) preferred
Willing to travel;
Excellent business sense and commercially aware, ideally with some level of financial accounting awareness;
Excellent analytical skills are a key requirement;
Native Mandarin speaker and excellent communication skills in English;
Innovative, confident and mature;
Bright, team player who can work effectively under pressure and independently.
