Role Summary/Purpose

GE is an equal opportunity employer, offering a great work environment, challenging career opportunities, professional training and competitive compensation.As part of a project management team you will provide Contract Management support in the execution of complex equipment orders and extended scope, Domestic and International Power Plant contracts.

Essential Responsibilities

*Responsibilities will include Risk Analysis and contract negotiation with customers, partners and construction subcontractors. * Pre-Award risk analysis of customer contract terms and conditions. * Support the development of consortium agreements with partners, and the placement and management of major subcontracts. * Team commercial expert in mitigating multimillion-dollar claims. * Identify potential claim exposure risks; and lead role in developing and implementing innovative mitigation strategies with settlement agreements. * Robust change order management of contracts with adequate profit margin. * Ensure appropriate insurance policies are in place for assigned projects and pursue and obtain appropriate insurance claim recoveries for the Supplier and Insurance claim process. * Prepare pass-through terms and conditions for GE subcontracts and supplier PO's. *Provide contractual analysis and interpretation on project commercial issues and drive resolution to closure. *- Prepare authorization to release new projects via Electronic Order Release system (eARS) and obtain management authorization.

Qualifications/Requirements

* Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, , or equivalent from an accreditied university. * 5+ yrs of Contract Management/Administration and Claim Management Experience.

Desired Characteristics

* MBA from an accredited university * Previous Commercial Prime Contract Experience (Domestic and International). * Construction Claims Negotiation Experience. * Developer or EPC Experience, preferably in the Power Industry. * Strong Presentation and Negotiation skills including development of presentations. * Ability to handle many complex issues concurrently. * Must have excellent written and oral communication skills (including English language fluency). * Advanced Skills in contract terms and conditions development. * Solid understanding of Business Law Fundamentals. * Personal computer experience including preparation of thorough computer graphics presentations.
