In late 2009, GE Aviation and AVIC Systems of China announced an agreement to form a new joint venture to develop and market integrated avionics systems for commercial aircraft customers. Announced in mid 2010, this business will be providing avionics systems for China’s first large commercial aircraft, the COMAC C919. Role Summary/Purpose

Engineering Tools & Technology - System Administrator (Deltek) is Responsible for application support, user account management, user training and metrics reporting.

Essential Responsibilities

- Serve as technical expert for engineering program management tools, in support of operational needs of the business, ensuring common quality solutions with the suite of applications. - Work within the framework of established operating procedures and in close cooperation with internal and external support personnel to resolve computing infrastructure challenges to assure operational availability - Focus on both hardware and software aspects of operating systems infrastructure across one or more platforms to optimize service delivery - Apply expertise to ensure the computing infrastructure is used efficiently and produces a long term business benefit - Participate as a team member on application, architecture, or technology projects as required; take responsibility for project tasks, make and meet commitments - Act as subject matter expert, maintain current knowledge of information technology and keep abreast of new and emerging technologies

Qualifications/Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Information Technology (IT), Computer Science or Engineering with at least 4 years of experience in an IS administrator and program planning role- Fluent with both Chinese and English

Desired Characteristics

- A minimum 3 years supporting and administering Deltek Open Plan, wInsight, Cobra, Active Risk Manager is desired- Preferred Knowledge of LDAP, Citrix, Oracle 9+, Apache, Tomcat, Weblogic, SQL, Unix, Windows, UML, Windows Server and related technologies - Knowledge of database design, development, or administration Knowledge of web development and administration- Ability to translate business requirements into strong technical solutions - Proven analytical and problem solving skills - Strong oral and written communication skills - Strong interpersonal and leadership skills - Strong multi-tasking capability
