Role Summary/Purpose

Essential Responsibilities

Collaborate in product launch, test and validation to ensure the success of the Smarts instrument manufacturing; Serve as the local technical support and the interface between the local manufacturer and the global development group on the product and associated support infrastructure issue; Responsible for maintaining the collaborated manufacturing supporting tool for sustained Smarts instrument production. Participate in the trouble shooting and root cause analysis of product issue from the production and from the field. Participate in the product development related test and validation tasks. Participate in the testing and validation development and maintenance. Responsible for maintaining the job related in-house test lab. Travel to manufacturing site for support and occasionally international travel for training as needed.

Qualifications/Requirements

1.Minimum Bachelor degree in engineering discipline. 2.Minimum 3-year working experience in manufacturing related engineering business, preferably in equipment or mechatronics product. 3.Knowledge of multi-discipline development environment, mechatronics product and software/hardware integration. 4.Knowledge in manufacturing qualification and inspection. 5.Proficient with Microsoft Office and familiar with statistics analysis tool. 6.Familiar with product quality process, six sigma, test and development cycle; 7.Proficient in lab instrument and bench tools; 8.Able to develop and maintain test case, test scenario and test report; 9.Able to assist in development of testing system and test script; 10.Fluent in English and Mandarin language skills, verbal and written; 11.Manufacturing and process engineering experience a plus; 12.Development or testing experience in Windows software development using Visual Studio, C++ programming language and database a plus; 13.Familiar with engineering drawing a plus, electronic or mechanical.

Desired Characteristics

1.Strong hardware aptitude; 2.Labview experience a plus; 3.Able to travel on a short notice and with extended period (year total < 30% of time).
