JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Title: Senior HR Officer
Company: Jacobs Projects (Shanghai) Co., Ltd.
Basic work location: Pudong, Shanghai
Reports to: Senior HR Manager, China
Subordinates: None

Key Responsibilities
- Assist in implementing the HR programs, systems and initiatives
- Be responsible for implementing HR policies and procedures, system and initiatives related to employee training, compensation and benefits
- Assist in the daily HR operations and activities of the home and project site offices
- Assist in generating HR monthly and weekly reports, as well as may so required from time to time.
- Assist in implementing compensation and benefit structure and programs, provides suggestion or proposal that will help management to develop a competitive level of pay and rewards to employees
- Maintain external relationships with relevant government agencies for updated information on regulations concerning employee compensation and benefits;
- Manage FESCO, CIIC and SFSC with regard to employee benefits payment and queries
- Maintain employee mandatory and supplementary benefits and provide reports on a regular basis from Oracle HR or offline data source and assist in annual budgeting and quarterly forecast exercises
- Manage employee project assignment compensation package, adjustment and coordinate with Operations and Payroll in Finance
- Identify training and development needs in conjunction with managers from operations and corporate functions, participate in planning and implementing training activities and administer training register
- Coordinate training activities and maintain training register and provide report on regular basis or upon request
- Assist in employment termination handling and respond to arbitration / lawsuit relates to labor disputes
- Prepare HR forms, answer routine employee queries and maintain HR files both in Oracle HR and offline data source
- Other duties as assigned from time to time
Education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities and attributes needed for the position
Education / Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent formal education
- Minimum 8 years broad experience in the field of HR. Experience in Training, Compensation & Benefits and Employee
- Relations is preferred
- Experience in a multi-international company
Knowledge:
- Knowledge of the full scope of human resources activities, both operational and analytical
- In depth knowledge of applicable laws/regulations related to human resources functions in all locations in China where Jacobs has a business presence
- Basic knowledge of business operations, commercial and financial principles
Skills:
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Analytical, planning, prioritizing and problem solving skills
- Fluent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Chinese
- Computer skills including Excel, PowerPoint and Word processing
Abilities:
- Able to effectively interface with diverse groups
- Able to maintain a high level of accuracy and attend to details
- Able to prioritize, plan and schedule activities to achieve objectives
- Able to work under pressure, organize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously to meet deadlines
