The Office Big Data team is chartered with enabling Office 365 business in making decisions about product design, service health and monetization through the ubiquitous and systematic application of data, analytics and insight.
The goals we are working towards as a team include:
- Dramatically increase access to Data – Engineering, Product Marketing, Customers & Partners
- Microsoft Service Management Portal hosting all O365 service applications
- Encoding data & analytic best practices through templates and apps
- Reducing cost of Big Data stack by de-duping & optimizing Office division wide efforts

Job description
We’re looking for an experienced Program Manager to join our exciting team. To be successful in this role, you should have deep experience in developing well researched product roadmaps, customer focused product design, core leadership skills, the ability to integrate internal and external partners in development, and the ability to inspire the team around your product vision.

You should be comfortable working with a diverse group of passionate engineers spanning China and the headquarters in the U.S.

Responsibilities
- Based on customer research and requirements determine product investments.
- Develop the detail product plan by writing specifications, using prototypes, can collaborating with other functional teams.
- Define innovative user interfaces and interaction styles which result in improved user productivity, discoverability and simplicity
- Work across PM/Dev/Test/UX disciplines within as well as within partner teams in Redmond and Beijing
- Travel to Redmond 1-2 times/year

Qualifications include
- 10+ years working experience in software development/testing and at least 4 years in project management and feature design are required. Prior PM experience at Microsoft strongly preferred.
- Have gone through multiple complete product release cycles for large scale enterprise applications or complex web applications
- Fluent in English, both oral and written
- Strong communication skills and interpersonal awareness to work collaboratively with a diverse set of people across groups and organizational levels
- Strong people management skill
- Excellent planning and organizational skills required
- Demonstrated customer focused innovation
- Be results driven. Strong problem solving skills and cross-group collaboration skills are desired
- BA/BS degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline
