Business Planning Assistant Manager (Location: Shenzhen)

Position Summary:

• Responsible in development, execution, and communication of financial plans and strategies that support buying, marketing and financial objectives.
• Meet or exceed financial goals in developing financial strategies that drive sales, profitability, and inventory targets.
• Analyze historical data and current trends to identify both current and future risks and opportunities for the business.
• Collaborate with key business partners to develop and communicate a comprehensive strategy that aligns future financial and product opportunities.
• Lead process for recap and analysis of actual sales results to plan, and forecast of in-season sales.
• Present financial forecast and supporting action plans in business meetings. Communicate frequently with direct reports and cross functional teams on financial results, forecasts, and action plans.

Essential Functions and Key Responsibilities:

• Work with all function teams to deliver financial results through strategy discussion, business planning scenarios and data analysis. Utilize planning skills and system thinking to create/update business plan.
• As a part of strategic planning, working with Finance to provide CSR/QBR/AOP by different metrics based on reasonable assumptions. Generate topline as well as margin by top-down goal and bottom-up from month/category level. Dig out the reasons behind the data for business and create storyline to explain business through information seeking and systems thinking.
• Working with buying and allocation to produce future two years sales plan. Set reasonable markdown by considering seasonality clearance and margin goal to achieve. Create the base for shipment and rebuy numbers.
• Provide sales plan and forecast on monthly and weekly base. Optimize business with topline and margin from Category/Store level. Weekly tracking to review business results, isolate issues, hear all points of view and be involved on decision of actions.
• Monthly Financial forecast by working with Finance team to produce current month and quarter for both topline and margin.
• Create GC quarterly business. Reviewing with sales team to have a clear picture for past quarter and next quarter's business.
• Drive business & financial analysis to support shop expansion based on required investment and target ROI.
• Create and develop the P&L model for new store openings, marketing promotion and keep tracking and make related improve planning if needed.
• Cooperate with the product team to work on the price strategy and Markdown Strategy to ensure the whole year margin and EBIT plan.

Education and Qualifications:

• University advanced degree.
• Planning background especially in financial result (topline/margin/ebit) and inventory management with working in retail trade over 6 years.
• Merchandising experience is a plus.
• Fluent in English (written & oral) and Mandarin.
