Senior/principal software engineer-hadoop
Job Responsibilities
- Design, create and manage development and test cluster infrastructure for Hadoop stack. Help the team to automate the build, continues integration and releasing engineering
- Create, develop software packaging under Linux, release validation, build tools and maintain backend infrastructure
- Work closely with development, test engineering, build and release engineering team to prioritize and deliver new versions of our products.
Requirements:
- Bachelor/Masters degree in Computer Science or equivalent from a reputable university
- Excellent Communication, Collaboration, Reporting, Analytic and Problem solving skills.
- Customer-focused, ability to triage issues, react well to changes, work with teams and being able to multi-task on multiple products and projects.
- Self-starter, team player, highly organized, infrastructure and process-oriented
- 2+ years of extensive experience in Java, Perl, Python, and/or shell scripting with hands-on experience in advanced Linux/Unix system and server clusters management
- Must have strong knowledge in Linux software packaging(rpm/.debian) and hands-on Linux system management experiences
- Must have experience or working knowledge of C++ or Java
- Build, SCM and release engineering exposure with Maven, Ant, Subversion, Git, etc in an Agile software development team.
- Experience with agile/Test driven development is a big plus
- Development/deployment experience of Apache Hadoop, Hive, HBase, Pig is a big plus
- Experiences of VMware in a lab for software development is a big plus
Experiences in big data, noSQL is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills in both Chinese and English. Comfortable working with US colleagues
