If you are passionate about Azure cloud technologies, arming customers with real-time service information and have a high degree of communication and social savvy, you belong in Azure Communications. We are a geo-located team of Program Managers who author real-time technical messages about platform events for customers, the sales (field), support teams and general public. We do this through Advanced Notification of planned platform events and Incident Communications when the platform isn't operating as expected.

We're looking for a self-motivated, articulate Program Manager who can transform Azure platform technical details into concise, straight forward, actionable messages for customers in real-time. You'll contribute to the end-to-end customer communication experience from the first indicator of a possible issue through resolution. You'll contribute requirements towards communications projects that improve and introduce new, innovative communication techniques. You'll gain experience working in the cloud industry understanding Azure internals and working with technical peers who are passionate about customers.

The Azure Communication team is a 24*7 organization, focused on real-time communication as well as communication projects. Some nights and weekends will be required.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide world class, accurate platform communications in real-time.
- Lead projects improving our coordination, communication capabilities and business impact metrics.

Skills and qualifications:
- BA/BS in Computer Science, Technical field or in Communications/PR with a technical focus, is required.

- Demonstrate superior English language proficiency. Both written and verbal skills required.
- Demonstrate understanding of Azure services offered through the Mgmt Portal
- Technical skills to understand the component level OS architectural design and inner workings of Azure.
- ITIL, PMP or MOF Certification desired.
- 5+ years of relevant work experience
- Former experience in Public Relations and/or emergency response highly valued
- On call, flexible shift coverage required. Some early mornings or evening. Weekend shifts are rotated.
