Key Responsibilities
- Work with the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) and SMEs to establish China-wide IS roadmap and strategic objectives for the company’s China operations.
- Develop policies and practices appropriate for our China operations, and related training and audit materials.
- Work with each business unit to develop additional policies and practices appropriate for that business.
- Develop metrics to assess and mechanisms to ensure the effectiveness of the IS program.
- Align support of CISO, company’s China management, and division leadership to ensure effective execution of company’s China IS strategy.
- Implement company’s China-wide IS program across all business operations.
- Work with each business unit and respective SMEs to implement policies and practices specific to that business unit.
- Help develop and lead a team of IS champions within each of the businesses and functions.
- Deliver training to employees and conduct audits to ensure compliance and to identify additional needs.
- Stay current on industry trends and on the latest security technologies, conduct benchmark studies to determine best practices, and recommend new security tools and approaches for CISO’s and divisions’ consideration.
- Analyze threat assessments, incidents and monitoring reports to identify gaps and recommend appropriate changes.
- Provide support to incident response teams at each business unit.
- Ensure that best practices are well communicated.
- Identify and propose resource requirements for IS program.
- Advise on and support IS planning and implementation for new investments.

Skills/Experiences/Education

Required
- Bachelor degree
- Formal training in information security
- 5 or more years of experience in Information Security, Security, or IT Security for a multi-national company
- Demonstrated track record of developing and implementing large organization programs or projects and driving organizational change
- Demonstrated record of handling sensitive information with integrity
- Ability to collaborate with multiple functional groups to solicit input, formulate plan, build support, and execute on programs
- Proficient in English (spoken and written)

Desired
- Technical background and/or MBA or equivalent degree
- Experience working in more than one country
- Experience working in China
- Demonstrated track record of building new organizational capability
- Familiarity with manufacturing operations
