Primary responsibilities:
? Day-to-day technical support of clients installed with TR Quant related products.
? Support all technical aspects of the clients using distributed environments - primarily Windows and Linux.
? Record tickets and service job requests by scheduling / executing tasks within the "application constraints".
? Follow up to ensure the client's request is serviced in an appropriate and timely manner
? Servicing the client's requests / issues can include working with other Technical Resources within Data Centers; Network, etc.
? Escalate issues as appropriate
? Monitoring internal and client systems
? If not assigned primarily to this function, function as a backup on a rotational basis
? Regular maintenance of infrastructure (e.g. Hardware support/OS patches and upgrades) as well as application release implementation and coordination for IT Support and other TQA teams.
? Off-hours support: Weekend/Evening/Holidays support in team rotation will be required - if not assigned primarily to this function, function as a backup on a rotational basis.
? On a request basis, provide in-person application installation support at client site(s) as planned
? Work on assigned projects/tasks as assigned by the management and team leader
Qualifications
? Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent desirable
? 6+ years of experience in a Microsoft Windows support environment
? 3+ years of experience in Unix/Linux systems administration with Perl scripting
? 2+ years of experience maintaining Oracle 10g or newer databases
? 6+ years of experience supporting Windows desktop client applications
? 5+ years of experience troubleshooting LAN/WAN issues
? 4+ years of experience supporting MS SQL databases
? 2 +years Help desk experience in a financial environment
? 1+ years of SQL Programming knowledge
? Oracle 10g RAC experience a plus
? Motivated self-starter; can work with minimal supervision alongside other high energy team player and must be able work in extremely fast paced environment
? Excellent organizational skills
? Excellent written and verbal communication skills to work in a fast-paced 'customer contact' area
