Product Variant Leader (PVL) provides variant management expertise in assigned product programs/projects in order to ensure that the customized products can be delivered on-time to the customers, with all customer requirements fulfilled, in a timely and cost-efficient way.

Main Responsibility Areas 主要职责领域

Product Variant Leader is a member of a centralized Offering Management team, which supports execution of product variants (i.e. customized product sales packages) for product launches and changes during the lifecycle. Customization is based on the customization offering of Microsoft products for customers (i.e. operators or local countries requiring sales package customization). The PVL works at a global level for several products and across several countries and global regions. He/she will contribute to the definition of customized sales package content in order to ensure their compliance with configure-to-order principles. 产品定制主管是集中供料管理部门的一员，为产品上市以及产品生命周期内的变化提供销售包装的定制与执行。微软产品定制化是基于各国家及运营商对销售包装的个性化需求。产品定制主管的工作是面对全球层面，跨越不同国家和地域，遵循客户规格订购原则定义个性化销售包装的内容。

Supporting execution of variants includes the following responsibilities:

1. Offering Management and SP BOM implementation: PVL is responsible for managing the global sales pack customization offering for a specific product. When the sales pack content offering changes, PVL shall co-ordinate and implement those changes. PVL is also responsible for the accuracy of the Sales Package bill of materials (BOM).

2. Requirements and Change Management: PVL is also responsible to co-ordinate and implement new configurable items in the sales pack content offering. He/she will be the single global contact point for local countries whenever the country & customer requirements change and ensure the changes are maintained in the system. PVL ensures that changes to the customized sales packages are implemented on time and with cost efficiency in mind.

Besides supporting execution of variants, a PVL has other responsibilities expected of him/her:

- Proactively understanding customer needs in non-standard and complex situations.

- Minimum 4 years relevant experience, typically 6-8 years’ experience in operations or logistics environment. Previous experience in the field of customization/configuration management would be an advantage. 至少4年相关经验，最好6-8年物流运营领域工作经验。如有在产品定制及管理领域相关经验为佳。

- Minimum University Bachelor’s Degree in Management, International Business, Engineering, Logistics, or related fields. 本科学历及以上，管理、国际商务、工程，物流相关专业。

- Excellent communication skills in English, both spoken and written, is a mandatory requirement as this role involves communication with global stakeholders. 优秀的沟通技巧及英文表达能力是这个职位的必要条件。

- Expert in standard MS-Office programs, Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Experience with SAP, MES, Six Sigma would be an advantage. 熟练应用微软办公软件，Word, Excel, PowerPoint。最好有SAP, MES, Six Sigma的相关经验。
