Job description

The Associate Partner is expected to have a high level of competency in the technical areas within IT infrastructure (ie. networks, storage, operations, security, data replication, operating systems, etc) and overseeing/management of DR/BCRS consulting services engagements. While an individual will not have in-depth competency in all areas, they must have a working knowledge of those areas that they are not proficient in. The Associate Partner expected to have above average written and oral communication skills. The career path for an Associate Partner would be Partner.

Engagement Management

Participate on selected sales calls with Business Development Managers and identify customer requirement and engagement opportunities.

Take leader role in technical aspects of engagements and keep engagements on schedule and within budget

Ensure compliance with established IBM BCRS standards and methodologies.

Exemplify and carry out the vision, mission, operating principles and values of IBM DR/BCRS service.

Define staffing requirements for engagements.

Development of estimated pricing for engagements.

Provide product training support to the Business Development Manager’s specific to their practice area and support the rollout of related initiative introduced by the Firm.

Lead the completion of the engagements as necessary to delight the client including SOWs/ WBSs/Proposal in complicated cases.

Submission of materials to Knowledge Management.

Business Development

Develop and maintain a network of contacts.

Make presentations to local professional society chapters.

Participate in networking opportunities, such as local professional societies, writing articles for local and national publications.

Required

Bachelor's Degree

Minimum of 10 years delivering client facing IT technical services

Minimum of 3 years delivering client facing IT DR/BCRS related consulting services

Above average communication and presentation skills

Fluent in English

Industry related certification
