Role Summary/Purpose
The Senior Project Manager is responsible for the creation and execution of project plans and the revision as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements of clients. The PM is the primary interface with the client and ensures that the project is delivered on time, within the budget and in line with GE product/service quality commitments.
Essential Responsibilities
Creates and executes project work plans and revises as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.
Identifies resources needed and assigns individual responsibilities to the Project team
Manages day-to-day operational aspects of a project and scope.
Manages day-to-day client interaction
Manage the project implementation schedule agreed with the client and Manufacturing Manager to ensure milestones and deadlines are achieved.
Prepares for engagement reviews and quality assurance procedures.
Minimizes our exposure and risk on project.
Ensures project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately.
Manages project cost vs. budget.
Determines appropriate revenue recognition, ensures timely and accurate invoicing, and monitors receivables for project.
Analyzes project profitability, revenue, margins, bill rates and utilization.
Identifies business development and "add-on" sales opportunities as they relate to a specific project.
Facilitates team and client meetings effectively.
Holds regular status meetings with project team.
Report progress to management and customer regularly
Possesses a thorough understanding of our capabilities.
Oversees interaction with key suppliers and the ordering of materials for the project.
Ensures a clear understanding of the requirements of the Project Contract.
Inspires co-workers to attain goals and pursue excellence.
Effectively utilizes each team member to his/her fullest potential.
Ensure GE EHS standard is fulfilled during project execution
Qualifications/Requirements
Technical College / University degree preferably in electrical/energy/mechanical engineering
At least 10 Years Project/site Management Experience in wind industry
PMP/PMLP qualified
Experience of working with international team
Good verbal and written communication in English/Chinese
Strong leadership which include negotiation/communication/coaching skill etc.
Ability to travel within the Domestic and abroad without restrictions and willing to travel globally to remote project locations
