JOB SUMMARY:
The role of the Sales and Marketing Executive is to achieve sales targets by developing and managing relationships with retailers as well as distributors and through them to develop brand ranges, consistent with the brand strategy.
The Sales and Marketing Executive will develop annual A&P plans and execute and implement Brand Marketing Plan's (BMP) for the business areas as defined by the Sales Manager, China.
KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:
? Achieve sales mission quarterly and annually.
? Develop strong relationships with all major retailers, delivering on their expectations and in so doing, develop the right brand range images.
? Manage and measure the performance of the distributors in the region to ensure they are meeting agreed service levels, agreed sales targets and to make sure they are compliant with brand strategy.
? Identify and develop new distributors in the designated key territories.
? Make outstanding annual A&P plans, coordinate and manage the advertising and promotion budgets for the market. Effectively implement and maintain BMPs to agreed standards.
? Manage the retail sales team to ensure listings and promotion activities at standard level.
? Manage inventory of promotion materials to ensure sales efforts can be supported.
? Maintain product sales sheets updated with support from IDB Dublin.
? Collect detailed distributors stock reports to ensure effective rotation of inventory, stock management and effective inventory holding to ensure consistency in supply chain.
? Contribute to the development of competitor reports, with support from the Sales Manager.
? To develop relationships with key promotion and support agencies, to ensure we are adequately resourced to support A&P efforts.
? To ensure that products are merchandised to standard by regular store visits, including checking point of sale material, pricing and tracking competitor promotional activity and pricing.
? To develop and drive the execution of the promotional grid for our brand, in conjunction with the appointed advertisement agency and distributors, ensuring that promotions are executed effectively, appropriately and in-line with the premium brand positioning.
? To prepare regular reports on your activities in the market and highlight any issues of note.
? To perform any other duties appropriate to the position.
KEY REQUIREMENTS AND ATTRIBUTES:
? Good working knowledge of the English language.
? Excellent communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills.
? Previous sales experience within FMCG retail.
? Strong experience of distributor management.
? Entrepreneurial flair with the ability to self-motivate.
? A willingness to travel.
? Detail oriented.
? Excellent computer and numeracy skills.
? Ambition and drive to achieve superior results.
? Ability to work under pressure.
