Position Title: Senior Business Application Consultant (Banking industry)

Job Summary
The Senior Business Application Consultant will provide business consulting for Teradata’s applications and other banking analytic applications. This individual will work closely with other professional service consultants, professional service management, and sales to insure that the client’s requirements for their applications are properly specified, documented, and followed. This individual will be responsible for the application requirement collection and analysis, design, testing, training, and mentoring as well as providing best practice and thought leadership to clients with regard to the application business domain such as Reporting, CEO Dashboard, CRM, Risk Management, Financial and Performance Management. The Senior Business Application Consultant may be the Lead Consultant on a project.
Key Responsibilities
？ Mainly focused on banking industry.
？ Support sales motions, demonstrations, and scoping of banking analytic application offers.
？ Gather and document client requirements and develop the application solution design.
？ Provide best practice guidance and mentoring to clients using the Teradata application.
？ Facilitate application test specification and testing.
？ Clarify the business problem for the purpose of applications and define application requirements.
？ Define, build, and verify application models.
Work Environment
Flexible to work in office or customer site and to travel across East China when required.
Basic Qualifications
？ BS degree or above in Computer Science or equivalent.
？ Should have above 5 years of banking IT experience and above 3 years of banking application experience.
？ In depth knowledge of commercial banking business.
？ In depth knowledge of the banking analytic application and the application business value.
？ In depth understanding of the analytic application business domain (e.g. Performance Management/Risk Management/CRM/Reporting/CEO Dashboard etc.).
？ In depth knowledge of application data mart architecture, design, and implementation.
？ Should have strong database concepts with an ability to design data models and read/write complex SQL queries.
？ Strong client interaction, communication, and consulting skills.
？ Can work independently and under hard pressure.
？ Learn fast and high interest of pursuing a consulting career.
？ Good writing skills on PPT/Word documents.
？ Good communication skills / presentation skills / great own initiative / strong leadership and teamwork.
Preferred Qualifications (Optional, but considered as a plus):
？ Experienced in the data analysis for banking.
？ Experienced in packaged applications that focused on CRM, Risk Management, Performance Management, Finance Management, etc.
？ Knowledge of EDW Architecture and Teradata EDW Platform.
？ Project experience in Teradata environment.
