Responsibilities:
- Lead and directly contribute to the development of new designs of LIB, including but not limited to new materials evaluations, formulation development, and component selection for new generations of products
- Develop component and product specifications for both made and purchased components and assemblies
- Evaluate and develop suppliers and vendors
- Carry out cost down activities and second source development
- Participate in failure modes and effects analyses (DFMEA)
- Support failure analysis on test cells and product

Requirements:
- 4+ years’ experience in Li-ion product design, especially on 18650/26650 and prismatic types.
- Master/Doctor degree in Materials Science, Chemical(Electrochemical)Engineering
- Deep knowledge of the fundamentals of cell design and performance, product development, pilot and production processes, and DFMEA of Lithium ion-based cells
- Strong problem solving skills, with the ability to combine theory with empirical observation
- Ability to interact effectively with vendors and colleagues
- Self-motivated, persistent, hands-on, and results-oriented
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
- Established track record of successful electrochemical product design
- Working knowledge of statistics
