The Candidate

You will have excellent communication skills including both written and oral English (Mandarin highly desirable), be a strong and influential leader, drive and encourage creativity, positively manage people/processes and projects, operate effectively and efficiently in a fast paced/high pressured but fun environment, work on own initiative, operate collaboratively and as part of a team, adopt a hand's on approach, instill a "can do attitude", be both responsive and proactive and have a real passion for what you do!



Your Duties & Responsibilities

· Develop highly creative concept designs and development.

· Development of strategically aligned workplace concepts.

· Collaboration with Businesses Development in marketing and winning business.

· Client presentation and negotiations with pitch team, adding creative value and edge.

· Team building and mentoring junior designers to assist them in realizing their full potential.

· Involvement in industry bodies, attending functions and building networks.

· Continual research and communication of global trends and benchmark design.

· Be integral in determining standards for project development.

· Work directly with senior management to develop major business initiatives.

· Works with other regional offices to assist in improving their interior design capabilities, staff, and technical expertise as requested.


Your Experience

Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture or related field.
10 + years of experience as an interior designer, ideally with a focus on commercial /corporate interiors.
Strong knowledge of the design process, including FF&E, furniture systems and specifications, color and materials.
Outstanding graphic presentation skills.
Previous experience of managing and developing a team of designers.
Software skills to include AutoCad & SketchUp as well as knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator and Microsoft Office.
Flexibility to focus on a single client with a variety of project types or multiple, concurrent projects in various stages of development.
Ability to work well in a multi-cultural, multi lingual team environment.
Understand and communicate design ideas and give direction quickly.
Proven successful track record of selling concept and design and winning projects in a highly competitive market.

Ideally you will be base in Shanghai however relocation assistance may be offered for an outstanding candidate that meets all of the above criteria.
