Role Mandate:
A Profero Account Manager is responsible for leading and managing agency resources to the delivery of high-quality service and digital solutions so that all client needs are met on time, to budget and to the highest standards of service.
Reporting into the Account Director, you will also assist in developing short and long-term strategies for the client. You may be supported by the Account Executive and are responsible for contributing to the AE's development.

Position responsibilities
1. Leadership & Management
- Be someone all internal teams and clients trust to get the job done
- Be someone all internal teams and clients respect
- Set and manage expectations of client and internal teams, especially to ensure Profero has the optimal time scale to deliver quality work and service
- Lead the day-to-day client relationship, campaign or project development and execution
- Develop your presence, your perception as an authority/expert, your authentic confidence
- Be a master of our internal processes
- Ensure that all client campaigns follow the Profero process
- Maintain a full and detailed understanding of all recommendations and proposals
- Deliver effective internal briefings and provide appropriate materials (background, examples, inspiration) to the teams to foster great ideas
- Ensure that all projects are executed to plan through close collaboration with Project Managers
- Provide consistent and effective support to Project Managers when managing change requests, client challenges
- Lead presentations of creative/media to client
- Lead development of regular results analysis & reporting, recommendations and presentations
- Lead meetings and discussions and ensure accurate contact reports are issued within 24 hours
2. Innovation & Initiative
- Use your personal passion and creativity to help develop intelligent, innovative and effective ideas and process improvements for your clients
- Contribute your own ideas and opinions on your client's business, how we work, and the industry we're in; establish a presence in the agency; have a voice in meetings
- Work with an attitude of 'it's up to me to make it happen'
3. Digital Marketing Strategies
- Build an understanding of the client's business and digital marketing objectives
- Start to develop an understanding of the target audiences' attitudes, behaviour and perceptions (with a focus on digital), using a variety of market information and research data
- Develop an understanding of the various digital media channels (display, search, affiliates, social media) and the potential for them in your clients marketing activity
- Establish an understanding of all areas of Profero's expertise and the products/services we can provide to your clients
- Build an understanding of digital marketing best practices drawing on the successes and failures of other brands in various industries
- Help to educate the clients on digital marketing strategies and tactics; engage clients in the world of digital communications by demonstrating its creative, connective and brand building abilities
- Coordinate training sessions and/or documents as needed
Be a trusted, knowledgeable source of information and developments in digital marketing
Client Service
Relationships
- Develop positive relationships that reflect true partnership in achieving the objectives of the client's business and the goals of the client
- Work to understand your client's pressures and internal demands to ensure Profero provides the right response at the right time in the right manner
- Achieve a level of relationship with your clients whereby they trust and value your opinions and advice on their digital marketing activity
- Be reliable; be responsive; have integrity
Excellence in Client Service
- Effectively set and manage client expectations
- Understand individual client needs (on specific projects and beyond) so you can help them be successful in their roles, and to their bosses; ensure clients have the necessary information and materials they need to do their jobs well
- Ensure all creative/media plans and recommendations are fit for client presentations and it's easy for the client to access and review the work (e.g. URLs, passwords, formats, conference call details, etc)
- Ensure all project costs are accurately quoted and cost estimates are approved by your manager prior to going to client
- Ensure cost estimates are delivered to the client and approved prior to work beginning
- Ensure clients are notified immediately of changes to project scope or project costs
- Provide counsel to client's advertising issues and opportunities, engaging Account Director as appropriate
- Have a solid understanding of the client's business, with emphasis on their area of responsibility
- Have a solid understanding of the technical Profero disciplines that you are representing, ensuring that you never send on information that you do not fully understand yourself
- Demonstrate a genuine interest in their business
- Maintain current industry knowledge
- Positively represent Profero at all times
Help to educate the client on advertising principles/fundamentals where appropriate
Managing direct reports
- Develop the skills and knowledge of the Account Executive through mentoring, supervision and providing continual feedback on performance
- Delegate the appropriate tasks and the appropriate amount of tasks to ensure an acceptable workload
- Keep Account Director informed of Account Executive development and performance
- Identify opportunities for Account Executive to take ownership of tasks or projects - under your supervision - to aid in her/his development; give adequate room for them to grow within their roles and eventually beyond
- Input on Account Executive performance appraisals
Professional Responsibilities
- Complete timesheets on a daily basis
- Arrive punctually at each meeting prepared to contribute, ensure thorough meeting notes are taken and distributed as appropriate
- Be an excellent communicator - provide clear correspondence and specifically well-written e-mails to ensure all expectations and details are understood by all
- Develop superior presentation skills - both in-person and over the phone
- Meet commitments and complete tasks as agreed and within agreed timeframes
- Ensure that the agency team produces all client work with the highest level of quality and integrity
- Work with Account Executive to ensure all participants are prepared for meetings: book rooms and call-in numbers, distribute meeting details and presentations/materials well prior to meetings, organize food and drinks if necessary
- Manage up to your supervisor as appropriate, escalating issues immediately when appropriate
- Safeguard proprietary information of clients and Profero
Proactively contribute to a positive team atmosphere and company culture
General and Administrative
- Ensure all projects have a clear indication of Profero job number to facilitate financial management
- Ensure all documents are saved on the network drives
- Maintain an organized filing system on the network drives to ensure others can find documents with reasonable ease
Understand how equipment works in meeting rooms/how to get internet connections for clients/etc.
