1. Resolve system performance problems in checkout and field that are not readily solvable by service and checkout personnel.

2. Provide complete, detailed and accurate cost estimates for systems including design, building, coding, checkout, training and installation.

3. Perform system design and specification after receipt of order in sufficient detail to permit project engineer to manage, design and build to achieve committed system performance and cost.

4. Provide technical support to Applications Engineers in their selling activity.

5. Design optimum systems approaches for specific customer requirements as defined by the Applications Engineer, translate into hardware/software descriptions and system performance specifications for use in technical proposals and technical brochures.

6. Propose system approaches, system building blocks (modules) and products for development that can enhance MTS's position in the market through both systems capability and flexibility to meet individual requirements.

7. Through participation in related technical forums/seminars, high technology vendor and customer contacts, monitoring related technical literature and taking advanced technology courses; maintain a current status in new technology/related to the division requirements.

8. Lead development activities in new product or technology areas.

9. Install state-of-the-art systems on customer's premises as necessary.

Qualification:

• Bachelor degree in engineering. Above average in digital and mechanical or analysis or analog. Knowledgeable in software. Working knowledge of industry engineering standards, practices, and regulations is a must. Min. three years varied experience or equivalent for master degree holder. Min. five years of relevant or equivalent experience for bachelor degree holders. Preferably with MTS applications experience.
• Ability to configure and complete new systems.
• Capable in analog, digital and mechanical.
• Independently manages assigned endeavors.
• Ability to communicate with cross-functional teams, and build consensus among a large group.
• Ability to work with limited supervision and efficiency.
• Good command of computer skills.
• Able to communicate in written and spoken English.
• Willingness to travel 20 to 30 percent of the time depending upon the region
